Tired of networking events where you chat with random plus-ones instead of fellow creatives? Heavy Shovel Productions’ The Big Dig NYC is back and better than ever on Saturday, June 13th, in Soho to connect with like-minded filmmakers and find your next collaborator.
PART 1: Structured Networking (But Made Fun)
We’ve designed this part of the night to make sure you meet the people you actually want to talk to. When you sign up, you’ll fill out a quick form, and our matching algorithm (plus a little human touch from the Heavy Shovel Team) will pair you with three curated matches. Think speed-dating, but for filmmakers. This is the type of thing you can come to solo. Lots of drinks. You must register to attend, as this is a curated event. Spots are limited.
PART 2: The Party
After the structured rounds, it’s mix, mingle & party time. The truth is that we all like working with friends, so grab a drink at the open bar and make a new friend. You can register just for the party, but we highly recommend you come for the whole thing and will prioritize full party guests.

Networking + Party (includes drinks): $40
Party-Only (includes drinks): $30
All tickets increase by $5 one week before the event. This event is a fundraiser to support Heavy Shovel Productions. If the fee is a barrier, reach out — we’ll figure it out.
